About the Role

This position is responsible for the effective delivery, monitoring and review of training packages for new and existing Tow Truck Operators (TTOs) and other NTT related operational positions. Situated in Wangara, within our state of the art facility. 

The Training, Learning and Development team is responsible for designing, implementing and managing programs that enhance people skills, knowledge, performance and compliance across the organisation, whilst inspiring people to embrace a learning and safety culture, and working closely with other departments to align training, learning and development initiatives with business objectives. 

Responsibilities will include:

Facilitate training programs that include:

  • Initial training, upskilling, retraining, and refresher courses
  • Competency assessments
  • Work with new hires to assist in their development 
  • Mentor both new and current TTOs, offering continuous support and guidance
  • Assist and engage with the Train the Trainer program by training other Trainers (such as other Operations Technical Specialists)

About you:

Ideally, you will have a background in the transport industry and be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills, along with evidence of mentoring and training experience.

You will also possess the following:

  • Heavy Fleet / Tow truck driving experience.
  • Demonstrated safety experience.
  • A strong background in mature learning principles and the ability to tailor training to trainee needs
  • Experience facilitating one-on-one or group training programs.
  • Innovative thinking and ability to problem solve passion.
  • Flexible and able to work autonomously.
  • Self-motivated to achieve training outcomes.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Mechanically minded

Licenses required or willing to obtain:

  • HR or HC 
  • Forklift - LF
  • Elevated work platform - WP
