Position Overview:

As the Operations Manager for WA, you will oversee the day-to-day management of operations through effective support, coaching, and mentoring of Service Delivery Managers, Impound Coordinators, and Tow Truck Operators. Your goal will be to ensure operations are managed safely, efficiently, and profitably, meeting all KPIs, objectives, and legal obligations while delivering the highest level of customer service in line with company policies and NWG's vision, mission, and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to HSE and Quality processes through relevant KPIs
  • Provide leadership and support to the WA Operations team to foster a positive culture
  • Develop, lead, and manage WA operations and business strategies
  • Analyse service levels and contractor earnings to optimise resource allocation.
  • Create a workforce planning model to enhance capacity, procurement, and scheduling
  • Identify performance issues and opportunities for improvement
  • Lead initiatives to retain quality employees, and ensure performance aligns with business strategies
  • Work cross-functionally with various teams to develop robust resourcing and demand assumptions
  • Manage operational projects and change initiatives under time and resource constraints
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders as a trusted advisor/partner

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Relevant Management/Business qualification or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in developing and managing Transport/Logistics operations, including people and rostering
  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or management role
  • Strong track record of delivering excellent customer service and fostering productive relationships
  • Experience working in a contractor environment
