Join Australia’s Leading Roadside Assistance & Towing Provider

At Nationwide Group (NWG), we don’t just tow vehicles—we move with purpose, backed by a reputation for safety, reliability, and operational excellence. As a proud subsidiary of RACV, we’re the engine behind Australia’s largest emergency roadside assistance and towing services. With over 750 dedicated team members—more than 550 of them behind the wheel—we support government agencies, law enforcement, and automotive clubs across the country, 24/7.

Now, we’re looking for a forward-thinking, people-focused leader to shape the future of our roadside operations. If you're ready to take your experience in training and operational leadership to the next level, this is your chance to make a genuine difference in a high-impact role.

For this role experience in roadside operations or transport is essential.

About the Role

As our Operations Learning Manager – Roadside, you’ll take the lead in building capability and performance across our towing operations, supporting teams in Victoria and interstate. This is a dynamic, hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives on operational challenges, champions safety and service, and knows how to drive improvement at scale.

You’ll be the heartbeat of our training function—empowering, coaching, and guiding trainers and operators to reach their full potential. From leading investigations and managing escalations to refining training programs and aligning with business strategy, your impact will be felt across every region.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, coach, and inspire the training team to meet performance goals and deliver high-quality, customer-focused learning programs.
  • Oversee end-to-end training delivery—from onboarding to upskilling—ensuring compliance, consistency, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders, support teams, and stakeholders to align training with business needs and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Coordinate 24/7 team support for critical training needs and incident response, acting as a subject matter expert when it matters most.
  • Monitor training schedules and performance metrics, making data-driven recommendations for enhancement.
  • Travel interstate regularly to maintain strong connections and ensure national consistency across training and capability standards.

About You

You’re not just a trainer—you’re a leader with purpose. You’ve got experience in training, coaching, or mentoring in operational or field-based roles, ideally within towing, transport, logistics, or emergency services. You understand the pressures of the road and the importance of people.

  • Proven ability to lead training teams in fast-paced, operational environments
  • Experience with LMS platforms and modern learning tools
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong safety, compliance, and operational awareness
  • Calm, strategic, and solutions-focused under pressure
  • Flexible and committed to supporting your team—even after hours if needed
