The Role:

As the Senior HSE Business Partner, you will lead and support the delivery of key HSE improvement initiatives, ensuring they are aligned with our broader organisational goals and our commitment

This role plays a key part in delivering our strategy—fostering a workplace where safety, wellbeing, and performance go hand in hand. You’ll contribute to the development and continuous improvement of our HSE Management System.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and delivery of strategic HSE initiatives aligned with business goals and a proactive safety culture.
  • Partner with senior leaders to embed HSE into operations and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE legislation, ISO standards, and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) frameworks.
  • Identify and mitigate HSE risks across the business and maintain effective audit and management systems.
  • Lead incident investigations and liaise with regulatory bodies as required.
  • Analyse HSE performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Champion system and process improvements that reduce risk and support operational excellence.

 

About You

You are a dedicated HSE professional passionate about fostering safer and healthier workplaces, particularly within dynamic and fast-paced operational settings. You excel at building strong stakeholder relationships, prioritise a people-centric approach, and have a proven ability to influence others and deliver impactful results.

 

You'll also bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in a comparable HSE business partner role, preferably within transport Industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation and risk management methodologies.
  • Proven capability in planning, conducting, and reporting on HSE audits and compliance reviews.
  • Experienced in incident investigation and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent data analytic capability utilising programs such as Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
  • Excellent report writing capability with an eye for detail
