We are seeking an experienced Senior HSE Business Partner to lead health, safety and wellbeing initiatives across our national operations. This is a high-impact role suited to a proactive HSE leader who can partner with operational leaders, influence culture, and drive measurable safety performance improvements.

About the Role

Reporting into senior leadership, the Senior HSE Business Partner plays a critical role in delivering Nationwide Group’s HSE strategy and supporting continuous improvement across safety, health, and environmental performance.

You will work closely with leaders and frontline teams to embed safety into everyday decision-making while ensuring compliance with WHS legislation, ISO standards, and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations.

This role offers national exposure, operational engagement, and the opportunity to influence real outcomes in a fast-paced transport and logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver health, safety and wellbeing initiatives across national operations

  • Partner with leaders to embed safety into operational and strategic decisions

  • Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, ISO standards, and CoR requirements

  • Lead audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations

  • Drive continuous improvement of the HSE Management System 

  • Analyse safety data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities

  • Prepare clear, accurate reports for leadership and regulatory requirements

About You

You are an experienced HSE professional with a strong background in operational or high-risk environments. You bring a practical, people-focused approach and have the confidence to influence leaders and teams at all levels.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or a related discipline

  • Proven experience in a HSE Business Partner or Senior Safety Advisor role

  • Experience within transport, logistics, fleet, or similar operational industries (highly regarded)

  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management, and audit processes

  • Experience leading incident investigations and engaging with regulators

  • Strong data analysis capability (Excel, Power BI)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
